Why this matters

You paid for that backyard.
You should actually use it.

"A fence stops people
from walking in.
A living privacy screen
stops people from watching.
Huge difference."
01

You feel watched every time you go outside

Grilling, kids playing, sitting on the patio — it all feels exposed. You end up going inside early. That's a solvable problem, not a permanent condition.

02

Builder fences don't solve second-story sightlines

6-foot wood fences were designed for ground-level privacy. They do nothing for the neighbor's second-story deck or the elevated lot behind you. Trees do.

03

Living screens add beauty — not just a barrier

The right planting adds shade, seasonal color, and real property value. Neighbors see a stunning landscape. You see privacy.

Ready to stop feeling exposed?

How we do it differently

Our planting process —
built to actually last.

Most trees fail in the first two years because of how they were planted — not what they were. Every Haven Collection install follows this proven 6-step process, refined over 30 years in Houston soil.

01

Free sightline consultation

We walk your property, map every exposure point, and recommend trees specifically matched to solve your sightline problems.

02

Visit our local family tree farm

Come out to our family tree farm and hand-select your trees in person with guidance from our expert tree specialists — or let us choose for you.

03

Custom soil blend — brought to your yard

We bring in premium soil and blend it with your existing soil at the root zone. Magnolia clay needs amendment. We never skip this step.

04

3-stake anchoring system

Three stakes, not two or one. This keeps every root ball perfectly upright through Texas storms during the critical first year of root establishment.

05

Deep-water, root treatment & mulch ring

Every tree is deep-watered at install and receives a root treatment to support establishment. We finish with a mulch ring to retain moisture and protect roots through summer heat.

06

Care guidance + follow-up

We walk you through everything — watering, fertilizing, trimming, and seasonal care specific to your species. Mr. Rueda is personally reachable afterward — not a call center.

This is what 30 years of doing it right looks like. See it in your yard.

Common questions

Answers before
you pick up the phone.

How much does a privacy tree installation cost? +
Every yard is different — we don't quote before walking your property. What we can say: a well-planted tree that thrives for 30 years costs far less than replacing dead ones every 2 years. The consultation is free and we'll give you a straight, honest quote with no surprises.
How fast will I actually have privacy? +
It depends on the size of tree you choose. With our larger, more established trees you can have meaningful privacy from day one. With smaller trees, you'll see real coverage building through the first growing season and full screening within a few years.
Will my HOA approve this? +
We've worked in dozens of Magnolia-area MPCs and understand how HOA tree approvals work. We can work with you to understand your HOA's approved tree list and recommend the best privacy options within those guidelines.
How much upkeep do privacy trees need? +
Much less than you'd think. Most of our species are low-maintenance once established. We provide expert guidance on watering, fertilization, trimming, and seasonal care. Mr. Rueda is personally reachable anytime — not a call center.
What if a tree doesn't make it? +
Our planting process — hand-selected trees, soil amendment, 3-stake anchoring, root treatment, deep-watering, and mulch ring — gives every tree the best possible start. We've built our reputation over 30 years by standing behind our work.
